Pershing Boys Lacrosse 25-26 Season

Howdy Pershing Boys Lacrosse players and parents,

We’re excited to kick off a new season of Panthers lacrosse! Please mark your calendars—our first practice is Monday, October 6, 4:30–6:00 PM. Regular practices will be held Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:30–6:00 PM.

New coaching additions
We’re thrilled to welcome Coach Lucas Pisecco and Coach Mark Temple to our staff. They’re eager to get to know our players, sharpen fundamentals, and build a positive, competitive team culture.

What to bring (practice-ready):

T-shirt, athletic shorts, and cleats
A full water bottle (hydration is key)
Any lacrosse equipment you already own (we’ll support newcomers with gear guidance)

Pre-season administrative requirements (before registration opens):

Current USA Lacrosse membership (required for all players) — [link to membership]
Current sports physical on file

Fees:
Season dues are $400.00 per player. Additional registration and payment details will be shared shortly.

We’re energized to welcome returning and new players, build skills, and compete with character. Thank you for your partnership in getting paperwork and logistics squared away so we can start strong.

Pershing LAX: Lacrosse Unlimited for your gear

A message from Coach Kevin about lacrosse gear for your athlete:

Fall Ball is going to start up soon, and we want all of our kids to be prepared!

The team has gear that we are willing to lend out, but there is a limited supply, and we would like that to be reserved for brand new players. So, returning players, we strongly encourage you to go to our local Lacrosse Unlimited and get your own set of gear. It is on West Alabama and Edloe (3601 W Alabama St, Houston, TX 77027) – only about 15 min drive from Pershing Middle School!

To get set up with a starter pack it is in the range of $300-$350. It includes all necessary gear you will need! Helmet, elbow pads, gloves, chest pad, stick. This is also a set that will last you throughout middle school- you won’t need to upgrade your gear until high school. Please let Coach Kevin know if you have any questions or concerns- he is eager to help you out.

Pershing LAX: Exciting Opportunity - Back to School Box Lacrosse League

Hello Pershing LAX Team! I’m sharing this information from Coach Kevin:

We’re thrilled to share a fantastic opportunity for our middle schoolers to join the StickStar Back to School Box League this fall. This league offers a unique chance for our kids to play box lacrosse, a fast-paced and engaging variant of the sport that’s perfect for developing teamwork, physicality, and stick skills.

Details:

When: Thursday nights
- 6:30-7:30 PM for younger grades
- 7:30-8:30 PM for older grades
What: One hour of game play focused on learning the techniques of indoor lacrosse in a fun and supportive environment.

Box lacrosse is a bit different from what you might be used to—it’s played indoors and resembles hockey, with all players using short sticks. This style of play is particularly beneficial for offensive players, and I highly encourage all parents to consider enrolling their kids in this league.

Team Photo, Swag, New Game Date

Howdy Pershing LAX,

Due to a few conflicts on Wednesday, TEAM PHOTO will be taken on the following Wednesday, March 6th.

If you ordered Pershing Lacrosse Swag, please remember to bring your payment to practice. Payments can be cash or check. Make checks payable to “Pershing Boys Lacrosse Club.”

Also, Pin Oak has reached out with a tentative date for Friday, March 8th. We know that this may interfere with the start of Spring Break, so we need your feedback to see who would be available to play.

Pershing LAX: School Holiday - No Practice

Hello Pershing Lacrosse,

No practice today since it’s a school holiday. We will see you back at practice on Wednesday, 2/21 at 5PM sharp.

If you haven’t already, you may bring payment for Pershing Lacrosse Swag you have ordered to practice on Wednesday. Please bring cash or check. Make checks payable to “Pershing Boys Lacrosse Club.”
